Description
Set along the banks of the Yarra River in Warrandyte, this adventurous school holiday program is all about hands-on building and bush engineering.
Children will learn traditional bushcraft and construction skills as they design and make their own mini bush boats using natural materials, experiment with knot-tying and ropes, and work together. With a strong focus on nature connection and practical outdoor skills, our Boats, Knots & Construction encourages creativity, resilience and teamwork while having fun in the bush.
This workshop is led by rewilding enthusiast Zoë, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Ecological Conservation and brings a passion for nature connection and hands-on outdoor learning.
Eco Explorers is an all-weather outdoor program, so wearing appropriate weather protection and clothing is important. Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning, such as fire, storm, high temperatures, or strong wind.
Ages: 4 – 10 years (siblings under 24 months are welcome to attend for free).
*Parents are responsible for their children at all times and are encouraged to join in on the fun!Â
