Description
Step into the magical world of the coast as day turns to night with our Twilight Rockpool Discovery. As the sun dips and the tide recedes, explore the rockpools at Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary and uncover the hidden life that thrives in the shifting shadows of the shore.
This workshop also introduces children to the ancient history of our shores – we’ll hunt for fossils, learning how they were formed and what they tell us about life millions of years ago. Through hands-on exploration, storytelling, and creative nature activities, children will observe, touch and learn about both living creatures and the remnants of creatures from the past.
Led by our passionate marine biologist and Eco Explorers facilitator, Amy. Children will discover fascinating marine creatures, learn about their unique adaptations, and understand how they survive in these dynamic habitats.
Nestled in Beaumaris, Melbourne’s bayside with crystal-clear waters, vibrant rockpools, and sandstone reefs offer an incredible opportunity to explore the marine life of Port Phillip Bay.
A perfect summer school holiday activity for the whole family to enjoy!
