Join us in Term 1, 2026, for our Bush Kids Forest School program (9 sessions) at Brimbank Park, a sprawling natural haven in Keilor East on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, where children can explore winding trails, native bushland, and open grassy spaces while immersing in hands-on nature play and forest school adventures.
Our exciting new summer programs offer hands-on STEM nature learning through engaging hands-on activities, adventurous and risky play, and bush walks that help children connect with and learn about the local flora and fauna.
Some of the activities that will be included in our Bush Kids Forest School program are:

- Sustainability & Environmental Protection
- Bush walk learning about the local fauna and flora
- Rope knots, cordage and construction
- How to safely use tools (hammers, saws and drills ) and construct things out of wood
- Snake awareness and bush safety
- Nature connection games
- Ecological storytelling
- Creating, crafting, making art with natural materials
- Summer water play activities by the river

This Bush Kids is run by Fiona. Fiona is a passionate advocate for nature and outdoor education with extensive experience as a primary and secondary school teacher and community facilitator. As a keen bushwalker, kayaker, and outdoor education instructor, she is excited to share her love for nature and ecological knowledge in her role as a Bush Kids Facilitator.
Forest School is an all weather outdoor program and will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.
Ages: 3.5 – 6 years (siblings under 24 months are welcome to attend for free).
*Parents are required to stay and are responsible for their children at all times.
