Description

Join us in Term 1, 2026, for our Bush Kids Forest School program (10 sessions) at Pound Bend Reserve in Warrandyte. Nestled on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, this stunning riverside bushland offers winding trails, native wildlife, and sparkling waters, providing opportunities for water play in summer.

Our exciting new summer programs offer hands-on STEM nature learning through engaging hands-on activities, adventurous and risky play, and bush walks that help children connect with and learn about the local flora and fauna.

Some of the activities that will be included in our Bush Kids Forest School program are:

      • Sustainability & Environmental Protection
      • Bush walk learning about the local fauna and flora
      • STEM & water play
      • Rope knots, cordage and construction
      • How to safely use tools (hammers, saws and drills ) and construct things out of wood
      • Snake awareness and bush safety
      • Nature connection games
      • Ecological storytelling
      • Creating, crafting, making art with natural materials
      • Summer water play activities by the river

Our Bush Kids program is facilitated by qualified primary school teacher, Kirsty.
