Description
Join us in Term 1, 2026, for our Bush Kids Forest School families program (9 sessions) at Sassafras Creek Reserve in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Sassafras Creek Reserve is a beautiful, shady bush setting with winding trails, lush ferns, and gentle water flow, making it a peaceful and inspiring place for children to explore, play, and connect with nature.
Some of the activities that will be included in our Bush Kids Forest School program are:

- Sustainability & Environmental Protection
- Bush walk learning about the local fauna and flora
- Rope knots, cordage and construction
- How to safely use tools (hammers, saws and drills ) and construct things out of wood
- Snake awareness and bush safety
- Nature connection games
- Ecological storytelling
- Creating, crafting, making art with natural materials
- Summer water play by the cool and lush ferny creek

This Bush Kids is run by Early Childhood Educator, Anne.
Forest School is an all weather outdoor program and will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.
Ages: 3.5 – 6 years (siblings under 24 months are welcome to attend for free).
*Parents are required to stay and are responsible for their children at all times.
