Join our Melbourne school holiday program where we play, learn, explore and discover outdoors with Eco Explorers! Located at Plenty Gorge Park in South Morang.
Our Forest School teaches children essential bush survival and bushcraft skills through hands on learning and nature based activities that are fun, engaging and promote self esteem, confidence, build resilience and most importantly encourage them to move and strengthen their bodies and connect with nature in a deep and meaningful way.
This hands-on workshop will teach children the basics of how to use some real tools to create all sorts of woodworking projects they can take home. Children will have access to a variety of natural timbers that vary in shape, textures and lengths for them to use. We’ll also enjoy a bush walk and along the way, discover and learn all about the flora and fauna and about bush survival and safety.
Children leave feeling proud of their accomplishments and learning how to use real tools. If you are looking for an activity to engage your children and encourage them to be creative outdoors, we highly recommend whittling and woodworking and all the basic supplies can be found on our online store.
The Forest School workshop is led by Adam.
Ages 4 – 10 years
