Come and join us for an afternoon of learning the art of fire lighting and how to use a flint safely at Ceres Environmental Park in Melbourne’s Brunswick East. We’ll be set up in the African village and children will learn about the importance of fire, what materials it needs, fire safety and then they’ll all get a chance to use a flint and light their own fire.
There will even be time to toast marshmallow!
If your child loves camping and the outdoors, then this fire lighting making workshop is for them!
Research clearly shows that the more time children spend outdoors, then better they are prepared for school and life. Spending time outdoors is essential for normal development and a healthy childhood.
We hope you can join us. Please note that due to the safety risk, children under 3 are not allowed to attend this workshop.
Ages: 5 – 12 years
