Come and join us for a morning of forest school where kids get hands experience and to learn how to light fires at Ceres Environmental Park in Melbourne’s Brunswick East. We’ll be set up in the African village and will be teaching children all about fire safety, the uses of fire, materials needed to start one and of course the opportunity to practice using a real flint. There will also be a bush foods demonstration, walk and tasting by the environmental chef, Ryan who is also an Eco Explorers educator and bush playgroup facilitator.
The children will also learn how to make their own bush tea to enjoy for morning tea! If your child loves camping, then this school holiday workshop is for them.
Research clearly shows that children benefit from using real tools and taking safe risks which are a normal part of healthy childhood.
This session will be led by Melinda Bito, a trained Forest School Leader and Ryan, an environmental educator, chef, conservationist and outdoor adventure leader.
We hope you can join us for a morning nature ‘experience’ like no other.
