Join us for a morning of getting ‘messy’ in nature making mud pies, magic potions and messy nature art! Best of all, children get to take home their very own magic potion! Our workshop guarantees to be a child’s sensory delight as they immerse themselves in nature play, creativity and learning at the beautiful lakeside Lysterfield Lake Park, a bush oasis nestled in the outer south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
We provide a gentle rhythm to our workshops with a focus on sensory play activities, a story, song and unstructured play with plenty of opportunities to build gross motor skills through climbing, balancing and movement during our exploration bushwalk.
Facilitated by Kate who a qualified and experienced Primary School Teacher, professional artist and Outdoor Education Teacher. She has lead outdoor experiences such as hikes and is passionate about creativity and connecting families to nature.
Our workshops are an all-weather outdoor event so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Children must have closed footwear when walking in the bush, sun hats, gumboots, wet weather gear, plenty of snacks and water and a change of clothes. Our workshops will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong winds.
Ages: 18 months to 7 years (siblings under 12 months are welcome to attend for free).
*Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
