Join us for a day in the bush with your child, connecting to nature and learning bush survival and bushcraft skills. During this session, we’ll be going to the dam to catch yabbies which is always a favourite amongst the children!
Both families & children (as a drop off) are welcome to book into this workshop .
Located at Plenty Gorge in South Morang, just 20km north of Melbourne.
We have children that leave our programs saying, it was the best day of their lives! Each Forest School holiday program is different so no two will be alike.
Some of the activities that will be offered during this ReWild Your Family Forest School workshop are:
-
-
- Make a bow and arrow for your family.
- Bush walk discovering local fauna and flora
- How to stay safe in the bush
- Snake awareness and safety
- Nature connection games

The Forest School workshop is led by Adam.
Adam is the founder of Eco Explorers and has been delivering bush programs to families for over 6 years. He spent his entire childhood living and camping in the bush; climbing mountains, exploring rivers, learning to fish, track, make fires and to survive. He is also a forest school leader and has a background in Outdoor Education.
Forest School Melbourne is an all-weather outdoor program so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.
Ages: 4-10 years (siblings under 3 can attend but please be aware that they will need to be away from the tool and construction areas & for yabbying the dam is quite steep and slippery)
Must be 6 years + for drop off ReWild program.
*An adult parent must attend and stay for this workshop. Family tickets available. This workshop will run on Grand Final public holiday.
