Join Eco Explorers founder and bushcraft enthusiast, Adam for our weekly nature connection and rewilding program for dads and kids!
This program gives dads who live in the Dandenong Ranges a space where they can connect with their child and other dads in nature, to slow down and enjoy the simpler things in life; Connecting and learning traditional bush crafts skills such as bush survival and safety, navigation, local flora and fauna knowledge, tool use and even the art of whittling.
Places are limited and a commitment to attend the 6 weeks is required.
Ages: 3 – 6 years (siblings close to this age range can also attend)
Not suitable for babies or toddlers
Facilitator
Adam is the founder of Eco Explorers and has been delivering bush programs to families for over 8 years. He spent his entire childhood living and camping in the bush; climbing mountains, exploring rivers, learning to fish, track, make fires, and survive in the Australian bush. He is also a forest school leader and has a background in Outdoor Education.
This program is possible due to funding and support from Mountain Men Inc.
Mountain Men Inc. is a volunteer community group that supports the positive activity, engagement and inclusion of men (18 years+) in Melbourne’s Dandenong Ranges.
Our Rewilding dads is an all-weather outdoor program so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.
