Ricketts Point Beach Nature Play Day 2

  •  22/01/2018
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary, located just near Beaumaris, south-east of Melbourne is the perfect place to introduce kids to the wonders of underwater marine life. The area offers a diverse range of habitats with its rock pools close to shore.

Come and join us for a fun morning of nature connection, rock pool exploration and learning, nature craft activities, story, mud kitchen play, song and bush walking at Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary.  Our play days offer you the best of nature play in a relaxed, supportive and positive environment. There is plenty of free and unstructured play as well as nature craft activities and loose parts play in our popular mud kitchen. The sessions are relaxed and completely child led and parents are encouraged to follow their child’s lead.

Our program has been developed to give your child optimum opportunity to build their gross motor and physical skills through climbing, balancing, walking and fine motor skills during our craft activities. Research clearly shows that the more time your child spends in nature, the better they are prepared for school, both physically and emotionally.

Eco Explorers Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary beach play day is run by Pascale who has been running our Ricketts Point playgroups for the past 6  months and has extensive knowledge of Ricketts Point and its marine life.

Ages: 1 – 6 years (siblings under 12 months are welcome to attend for free).

*Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
