Wetlands, Habitats and Bushland Walk – Parkville

  •  21/09/2022
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us on a bush walk and outdoor adventure learning and discovering the diverse range of habitats, wetlands, bushland and birds at Royal Park in Parkville.

There will be plenty of outdoor games and hands on learning and activities for the children to enjoy as they learn about the habitats and animals through searching for tracks and scats and other clues about which animals live there. Our Bush Kids program is for children aged 4 – 10 years and is specifically aimed at supporting children to develop important social, physical and emotional skills through hands-on learning and teaching them real-life bush survival and bushcraft skills.

This workshop includes games, learning about sustainability and conservation and an activity creating your very own habitat.

This Bush Kids workshop is run by Emma, a bush kindy facilitator who is currently completing her Master of Environment at Melbourne University, specialising in ‘conservation and restoration’.

The children will be encouraged to use their bodies through climbing, balancing and explore the bushland with friends.

Ages: 4- 10 years

*Parents must stay and supervise their children at all times.
