Join us in Term 1 2026, for our Bush Kids Forest School families program (8 sessions) at Lysterfield Lake Park in Lysterfield, on the traditional lands of the Bunurong People, where families can explore bushland trails, native wildlife, and enjoy water play, and engage in hands-on nature and forest school adventures.
Our exciting new summer programs offer hands-on STEM nature learning through engaging hands-on activities, adventurous and risky play, and bush walks that help children connect with and learn about the local flora and fauna.
Some of the activities that will be included in our Bush Kids Forest School program are:

- Sustainability & Environmental Protection
- Bush walk learning about the local fauna and flora
- Rope knots, cordage and construction
- How to safely use tools (hammers, saws and drills ) and construct things out of wood
- Snake awareness and bush safety
- Nature connection games
- Ecological storytelling
- Creating, crafting, making art with natural materials
- Summer water play activities by the lake

Forest School is an all weather outdoor program and will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.
Ages: 3.5 – 6 years (siblings under 24 months are welcome to attend for free).
*Parents are required to stay and are responsible for their children at all times.
