Description
Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary is a beautiful rockpool oasis located in Flinders on the Mornington Peninsula, famous for its diversity of marine life, including sheltered rock pools, coves and a shallow reef on the ocean side, as well as sandstone rock platforms extending from the shore.
Come and join us for a creative learning workshop exploring the rockpools and discovering the magnificent marine life, sharing stories and then getting crafty, making sea creatures out of clay! With a low tide, the kids will start with a marine scavenger hunt and learn all about the fascinating creatures at Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary. They will learn all about rockpool habits and even make their own to take home.
Located in Flinders on the stunning Mornington Peninsula, this workshop is run by Shaney, an Early Childhood Educator, artist, and storyteller.
Eco Explorers is an all-weather outdoor program, so it is important to wear appropriate weather protection and clothing. Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning, such as fire, storm, high temperatures, or strong wind.
