Description
Join us these school holidays for a wild reptile adventure exploring the rocky outcrops, grasslands and bush habitats of Newport Lakes. Children will learn about the reptiles that live here, including blue-tongued lizards, skinks and snakes, and discover how they move, hide, and survive in the wild. You will learn how to stay safe in the bush and will even get to meet our facilitators, friendly python snake, Bernard!
Through games and hands-on activities, we’ll explore how reptiles use camouflage, warmth and movement to thrive. Children will make their own reptile shelters using natural materials, learn how to spot signs of lizards and turtles, and move like reptiles through our bush obstacle course.
This workshop encourages curiosity, respect and care for the creatures that share our environment, while connecting children to the natural world through exploration and play.
Led by our passionate environmental educator, Emma.
A perfect summer school holiday activity for the whole family to enjoy!
Ages: 4 – 10 years
